Graduate student training in biodiversity genomics

via exchanges between Norway, Colombia and Peru

BiGTREE is an HKdir-funded NORPART training network between Norway, Peru and Colombia. This network aims to provide training in cutting-edge genomics and bioinformatics in the field of biodiversity genomics.

Through this scheme, Norwegian and South American students and staff will benefit from collaboration, increased knowledge, impacts, visibility, and reach of their research. Through mutual mobility and cooperation, our ultimate goal is to contribute towards further understanding and conservation of biodiversity.

A major role of BiGTREE is to provide mobility scholarships to M.Sc. and Ph.D. students for research stays in partner countries for 3-6 months.

Additionally, we provide full scholarships for Peruvian and Colombian M.Sc. students to complete 2-year master biodiversity genomics projects in Norway.
